Show publicity and invitation design for the debut and subsequent runway presentations. Both menswear collections, by principle designer Luke Derrick, take inspiration from the streets around his Bethnal Green studio and a fictional narrative of an implied event.
His debut AW24 collection, Night Walking, is based on the morning after the night before. Our invitation design reflected this by creating artefacts found in the protagonist’s pocket, a coat check ticket from a club and a cash machine receipt for £50.00 at 4:45am.
The following SS25 collection, Raincheck, was based around the narrative of plans cancelled at the last minute. Our invitation design took inspiration from what might have been, and unfulfilled possibilities, by sourcing used newsagent scratch cards. We sought to created intrigue with the after party invitation by writing a phone number on the reverse of a playing card which accessed an answer phone message giving scant details of the venue and time and recorded by fictional character Claude.
