Potter’s House

Potter's House — Luciano Giubbilei Studio
Info
Formerly the home and studio of ceramicist Maria Antonia Carrio, the Potter’s House is located in the far north east of Mallorca and is run and maintained by celebrated garden designer Luciano Giubbilei. Remaining true to the spirit of the building, Luciano set up a residency programme to allow makers to explore their process in an alternative environment. Following each residency an exhibition is held at the house.
To celebrate the residencies of Australian ceramist Alana Wilson and Japanese ceramist Masahiko Yamamoto, we designed publications which recorded their time at Potter’s House whilst also being a catalogue and poster for the exhibition. Inspired by their work with its sensitivity to surface, texture and mark making, we designed the publications to be reproduced onto bible paper for it transparent, tactile and fragile quality.
